This is my opportunity to give you a brief insight into me and what type of lawyer and person I strive to be for you, my client. My legal experience is broad and deep. I began as a Law Clerk for the 11th District Circuit Court in 1985 and transitioned to private practice in Clarksdale, MS in 1986 where I represented large agricultural chemical companies and appointed criminal defendants. In 1989 I moved to Cleveland, MS where I represented multiple government entities, continued my appointed criminal defense work and began representing injured plaintiffs. While in Cleveland I was selected to and completed the Leadership Bolivar County Program, helped implement the county wide SWEEPS anti drug program through the office of the Mississippi Attorney General and served on the Board of Directors for a local civic club. In 1993 I was offered the position of City Attorney for the City of Horn Lake, MS on a part time basis and opened my first solo practice in Horn Lake shortly thereafter. I later accepted a full time position as the Horn Lake City Attorney and served in that capacity as well as handling the duties of City Court Prosecutor for the next three years. During my tenure as City Attorney and Prosecutor I handled personnel matters, employment issues, zoning and planning cases, FEMA flood plain development issues, civil rights claims and virtually every criminal matter that came through the City. I was also active in civic groups, the Horn Lake Autumnfest, Cub Scouts, youth soccer, youth baseball and youth choir with my children. I am still serving the community as the City Court Judge in Horn Lake ( a position I have held for 14 years), I am a two time past president and current Director for the Horn Lake Chamber of Commerce, I represent the E-911 board for DeSoto County and the statewide Telecommunicators Association and other emergency related entities. I have taught many continuing education classes for lawyers, para legals, law enforcement officers and emergency personnel. I have taught Sunday School for the past twenty years and have served in Church Leadership roles for nearly thirty years.

I currently represent clients throughout north Mississippi in criminal cases, personal injury matters, estate planning, probate and corporate issues. I am admitted to practice before all Courts in the state of Mississippi and belong to numerous civic, legal and professional associations.
